Violin Long Notes

 

The next tune I'd like to look at is called 'Rock and Roll Sally'. In Rock and Roll Sally we have this rhythm (violin extract). And what I like to use this tune  is playing down on the heel and using a long note to take us to the point - playing at the point, and another long note to help the bow travel back to the heel.

Using different parts of the bow is a real essential skill in playing the violin and you can never start to learn that skill to early. Here's a tune called Rock and Roll Sally.
