Transport Panel
The transport functions allow you to move around the file like a CD player and a lot of the buttons on the transport bar should be familiar. The transport bar can be grabbed & moved to allow you to position it elsewhere.

Play & Stop These buttons start & stop the playback
Fast Forward and Rewind These buttons take you to different parts of the file
Record This button starts the recording of MIDI data
Return to zero This button takes you to the beginning of bar 1
Go to end This button takes you to the last bar of the sequence
Tempo This controls the speed of the playback and is measured in BPM (Beats per Minute). It displays the tempo changes you make in the tempo track.
Click This button enables the metronome, or constant ‘click’ sound which keeps the beat whilst recording & is used to count you in before the recording starts
Left & Right Locators These little windows tell you where you will begin & end a recording of MIDI notes.
Loop/drop in/out modes These buttons choose between the sequencer playing between the Left & Right locators in a continuous loop, or drop in and out mode for automatic start /stop recording
Song Position This shows you where you are in the piece
Master This switches on & off control of the tempo track, which contains settings that affect the entire MIDI file, such as time signature & tempo changes
